As you guys know we here at Project Diaspora have been going to as many conferences and events as our budget and schedules can handle. We want to connect to as many people as we can who share our vision and our drive to change the game when it comes to Africa. We are thrilled to announce our new collaboration with Roots of Africa. Look for posts from Perrin Clark about his work with the Sacramento area Diaspora and other exciting projects we have in the hopper!

Founder of Roots of Africa, Perrin V. Clark is a passionate evangelist for the causes of Africa. Completely changed by a trip to Nairobi Kenya (pre-election crisis), his passion is devoted towards building partnerships for change between the US and Africa. Towards this end, Roots of Africa was formed to connect available resources in the US and abroad with various projects and needs in Africa. Perrin’s background includes extensive sales, marketing, technology, non-profit administration and leadership experience. He holds a degree in Leadership from Patten College (Oakland CA) and is completing an advanced degree in African Studies (2010 - University of South Africa). Perrin also provides consulting to the CA Assembly Select Committee on Procurement and the Northern California World Trade Center and is an advisory board member of the Thumb Up Foundation and the Ardent Energy Group (Ethiopia/West Sacramento). In his home life, he is the husband of a professional musician/singer/songwriter and father of three young children; all eager to travel to Africa!

Welcome Perrin!
